“I don't know if you remember me. About 16 years ago you guided me to the most wonderful little dog anybody could ever have. She was a little toy poodle. Last December I had to put Belle to sleep. I always have remembered the advice that you had given me. Belle was 16 and we had a great life together. I have remembered you all these years and the advice that you gave to me. You were a part of the wonderful experience having Belle as my companion. Hope you are doing well and again thank you so much after all these years.” David

Our den is your safe haven - a place where you can learn about toy poodles with no pressure. We no longer raise toy poodles and we don’t recommend specific toy poodle breeders. Instead, we try to provide you with the information you need to choose the right puppy - or adult toy poodle - for yourself or your family.

This year - 2017 - we celebrate our 21st year on the web! Thank you for visiting.

The Irish Boys • Poodle Entertainers

At this time of year perhaps no poodles work harder - if you can call it work - than The Irish Boys. Joan Brenneke’s foursome entertain residents of hospitals, nursing homes, and retirement communities in southeastern Massachusetts and nearby Rhode Island.

Joan recently wrote to say “the boys” have more than a dozen gigs coming up in March. Joan’s daughter Laurie quips, “Everybody wants The Irish Boys for St. Patrick’s Day” ... Read More

Therapy Dog Requires Expensive Surgery

“One of Brenneke’s most accomplished canine stars is Malachi O’Malley, an 11 year-old white standard poodle that underwent emergency surgery for bloat on April 30. The handsome dog beat the odds and with his owner’s loving care, slowly returned to normalcy,” writes Brian J. Lowney in a recent edition of SouthCoast Today.

Lowney continues, “The cost of the surgery, which included all fees and medication, was more than $3,000, a startling amount that knocked out Brenneke’s bank account, which she says is reserved for expenses related to the therapy/performance group.”

Here’s the complete article where you can learn how you might make a small donation to the GoFundMe campaign to defray the cost of Malachy O’Malley’s surgery. Every dollar supports The Irish Boys’ medical care so they can continue their work in hospitals and nursing homes.
